Part – 3 (Mar—25-2011) Friday 4) Kedara Yoga :-- If all the seven planets (except Rahu and Ketu) occupy any four houses, Kedara yoga is formed. Benefits :-- The person earns his livelihood from agriculture; he is helpful to others. He leads a happy and prosperous life and enjoys all royal comforts. My explanation :-- The great astrologer-writer Maharajha Kalyana Varma (king of Vyaghrpada state) in present Madhya Pradesh (he belonged to 10th century A.C) wrote in his monumental astrological text SARAVALI, that a person born under this Kedara yoga possesses the bull-intellect and good comprehensive power. He is very much admired all over the world. He is a billionaire. This chart has Sankya Kedara Yoga.
5) Sun is in Leo, his own house, Mercury is in Virgo, his own house and Mars is in Scorpio, his own house. Three planets in own house or exalted house (Mercury) bestows great raja-yoga.
General Effects : The native may be humourous. Quickness of wit (repartee), and mental ingenuity are his prominent qualties. The person is learned and well-read and expecially in occult / manthra matters. If Venus is conjunct with Mercury, the person is talented in music. He is gifted with adaptability. Mercury makes the person an intellectual. If Rahu or Ketu conjunt with Mercury in birth lagna the person suffers severe nervous troubles, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Sir Asuthosha Mukharjee, Mahatma Gandhi, all had Mercury in their birth lagna and are renowned as great intellectuals.
Note :- Presence of Maharaja yogas (beneficial) or Ava yogas (malefic) in the horoscope is not enough. The strength and effectiveness of the yoga is to be assessed. Even if a dozen yogas are present, if they are weak or spoiled by other malefic effects, like conjunction with or aspected by malefic planets or the lords of the house staying in inimical or debilitated house or get combusted or the like, they do not give benefits to the person. Similarly, malefic planets may not give malefic results if they are conjunct with or aspected by benefics like Jupiter and or stay in their own house or in exalted house. Presence of Saturn in birth lagna did not permit him to be a world-renowned Medical expert. Jupiter enabled him to become a world renowned Professor of Oriental Philosophy (Oxford University; U.K.).
